“Skiing has always played a major part of my life”.

In my younger ages as a ski racer, I turned more to snowboarding in my late teens. Then I became one of the first professional snowboarders in Sweden. Traveling the world, competing on the I.S.F World Pro Tour. Winner of four national championships between 1990-1994.

Back then, I was a member of the I.S.F riders council. Later, I became the national team captain for Sweden, and responsible for the snowboard instructor education in the national federation. In 1995, I became part owner of the Extrem snowboard factory. And initiated the first skis produced there in the late 90s. I then turned back to skiing. As my kids grew up in the slopes, I became an alpine coach for young skiers.

“Ski industry and tourism goes hand in hand”.

And the last twenty years I’ve been engaged in the latter. A strong desire to take part in the development, pointing out the direction of my local society. Lead me to the honor of being elected. As first vice president of the local government council in Åre 2006-2010. During that era, Åre hosted it’s second alpine world championship. 2010-2015 I worked as manager for several ski resorts. Since 2015 me and my family owns Slite Strand Resort. A summer destination on Gotland, the biggest island in the Baltic Sea. Now, at the age of 56, I like to ski more than ever. And in every condition and elevation on the mountain. Backside powder or groomed corduroy is equal fun for me.
