If you go skiing in the Cervino ski paradise, you need to visit this place on the way down to Valtourneche. It’s good for lunch, a thirst quencher, or for your morning coffee.
How to get there? Halfway down the slope from the Salette to the village of Valtourneche, on skiers right. Perfectly located facing south, you will find this classic. Foyer des Guides is also reachable by foot or by car. Which is convenient if you are just up for a poseur position in the sun, non-skiing.
Make sure you land a table here
Once seated, you will be sitting for a while, no doubt. There is a good idea to reserve a table. Otherwise, I suggest you drop in early to deserve a spot in the sun at the terrace. From there you are in the front row watching all skiers going down with tired legs. The slope levels out just in front of the restaurant patio. You will enjoy watching more than a handful of persons tumbling down as they just can’t handle the compression. It’s a spectacle right in front of your nose. With that said, this is not the main reason to go here, o no.
You will go here because, Location is great, food is great, service is great, atmosphere is great. The Foyer des Guides is a skiers restaurant, just the way we want it. And when you go here you will experience the same, we can promise you that. You know, the memories linger on forever. You will tell your friends to go there. Except for the excellent skiing, this place is a main reason that make’s you wanna go back to the valley of Valtourneche.
